Series Familiarity: I am an expert on The Dark Crystal. I've seen the behind the scenes, know the movie back and forth, and own the World of the Dark Crystal book and the movie novelization. I've read several Dark Crystal comics and graphic novels. I've been to the Jim Henson museum exhibit twice.

Strengths:
Dvorak is a good listener and an even better healer. He's friendly, polite, patient and welcoming.
Weaknesses:
  He's small and physically weak, (though fit and healthy for a Gelfling.), he is perhaps a little too patient and resorts to violence when it's too late. He doesn't adapt to technology quickly. He gets irritable if on a space ship for a long period of time. He can only read and write galactic basic at a 4th grade level (though he can speak it fine thanks to Dreamfasting.)
How did you survive Order 66:
Thra was a planet unknown to either the Jedi or the Empire. The Force guided a fleeing Jedi and Sith to crash on Thra during a duel.
How did you discover ScatterStar Station:
After dreamfasting with the dying Jedi master who crashed on Thra and learning what he could from the master, the ship took Dvorak to a hidden Enclave where he was trained by master Thiacyn on a non-descript moon until her death at the hands of Striation. Dvorak was on his way to ScatterStar Station when he crashed on Pandora.

History/RP Sample:
After the Crystal had lost it's light and the skeksis came to rule, the Gelfling dreamed and saw a prophecy, that gelfling could end skeksis power if they found the missing shard and healed the crystal. The skeksis too saw this prophecy and created false crystal shards and scattered them all over Thra to confuse the gelfling. The gelfling scoured the land, seeking out these shards, in hopes that Augrah could decipher which was the true shard.



On a night of a great lightning storm, a gelfling named Dvorak Seti, was out looking for shards in the valley when he came across some unusual creatures. One was vaguely similar to a gelfling but as tall as a skeksis and in his hands a staff made of light. The other wore a strange faceless armour. They danced together violently and the big gelfling was hit with a beam of light from the short, strange shaped stick in the armoured man's hand. The big gelfling fell, but not before thrusting his stick of light through the armor's heart. They fell together and Dvorak rushed over. He could feel the life force from the tall gelfling quickly fading. Panicking, Dvorak touched his hand and the tall creature's thoughts poured into the gelfling's mind.



There was a ship not far. It would take him to a hidden enclave. He wanted to return to the enclave. Thousand more images filtered in Dvorak's mind. Jedi, betrayal, slaughter, a longing for peace. The man was a human Jedi.



"Ship." Dvorak said in galactic basic, shocked to hear him speak in something that was not his native tongue. "Enclave. Come, master."



Clumsily he dragged the Jedi to the ship and got him aboard.The strange, metal space was uncomfortable for Dvorak, with it's bright lights, video screens, and bleeping sounds like fake birds.

The ship took off and left Thra. Dvorak did not expect it to jump into hyperspace and he was thrown around the cabin, pressed against the unsecured body of the dead Jedi. He lost consciousness. He awoke soon after the ship returned to normal speed again. The ship landed itself on a small moon and immediately it was boarded by two more humans. He could feel their sadness at the loss of their friend.



After a moment of mourning, they turned to the gelfling.



"Thank you for bringing Master Kronn to us." Said one. "We wonder if we may ask an even greater task of you."



The other said words that would send the gelfling on a great path.



"We sense great potential in you."

You don't get a phaser and three lightsabers and a BFG900 and state of the art armour and a personal cloaking device and your own pod racer and 17 slave-girls. Weapon(s): A short bladed purple lightsaber, the crystal is from his home planet of Thra. It is fitted with a Deflection emitter to better deflect blaster beams and a fencing emitter to parry/block blades. It also has an emitter shroud to keep Dvorak from accidentally touching his own blade.

A small dagger made of wood and bone.
Description: It's a simple dagger from his home world of a landstrider tooth and wood, mostly used for food preparation or clothing fabrication but with the reign of the Skeksis, it was used as a weapon, just in case.

Racial Bonus:  Gelfling can dreamfast. When they touch someone hand-to-hand they exchange their memories, thoughts and desires. The ability to dreamfast can create an almost telepathic bond among mates.

Female gelfling have wings and are able to glide.
